Who you are buying from

Askden designs and hand-casts sinks, planters and kitchen worktops from glass-fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) in Accra, Ghana. Reach us at hello@askdengh.com for anything to do with an order.

Placing an order

An order you submit is an offer to buy. It is accepted only when we send you an order confirmation by email — at that point a contract is formed. If we cannot make or supply a piece, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

Every piece is cast to order. Worktops and sinks are made to your measurements from details you supply; it is your responsibility to check those measurements before you confirm.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Ghana cedis (GHS) and include any tax that applies. Delivery and, for worktops, installation are quoted separately.

Payment is taken in full at checkout through Paystack. We do not see or store your card details — see our Privacy policy. We may correct an obvious pricing error before we accept your order.

Making and lead times

Pieces are poured and cured in batches. Allow 3–4 weeks from order confirmation before dispatch. We email you when your batch is sealed and ready to send.

If a batch runs long we will keep you posted. Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and a reasonable delay is not grounds to cancel a bespoke piece once casting has begun.

Delivery and installation

  • Flat-rate delivery across Ghana; larger pieces are hand-carried.
  • Worktops are quoted with installation and fitted by our team or a fitter we approve.
  • Someone must be present to receive and check the piece. Risk passes to you on delivery; title passes once we have received payment in full.

The nature of the material

Concrete is a hand-worked material. Slight variation in colour, tone and surface texture between pieces and against product photography, fine surface crazing, small air pockets and considerable weight are characteristics of cast concrete — not faults, and not covered by the returns policy on that basis.

Care

Pieces ship sealed matte. Wipe with a damp cloth; re-seal worktops and sinks once a year with a penetrating stone sealer. Avoid harsh acids and abrasive scourers, and use trivets under very hot cookware. Damage from failing to care for a piece is not a manufacturing fault.

Cancellations and returns

Stock items may be returned within 14 days; cast-to-measure worktops and bespoke colours are final sale. Full details, including damaged or faulty pieces, are in our Returns policy, which forms part of these terms.

Guarantee and liability

We guarantee each piece against structural defects in materials or workmanship for 12 months from delivery, under normal domestic use and care. Our remedy is repair, replacement or refund at our discretion.

We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, accident, poor installation by others, or normal wear. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and disputes fall to the courts of Accra.

Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here on the date you order. Questions go to hello@askdengh.com.
